Steps:
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter or oil.
- Melt butter.
- Add 2 tablespoons of water.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- Add cocoa or chocolate powder (like Nesquik) (add as much as you want).
- Add 1 tablespoon of sugar for chocolate powder (Nesquik) OR 2 tablespoons of sugar for cocoa powder.
- Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (OPTIONAL).
- Stir it up.
- Microwave it for 2 minutes.

- Cut the butter into small pieces. Put in a 20 x 20cm microwavable glass or ceramic dish and cook in 20-second bursts in the microwave until melted. Remove, swirl it around the dish to coat the sides, then tip it into a mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar to the bowl and, using a hand or electric whisk, whisk vigorously until the mixture is creamy and fully incorporated into the melted butter.
- In a jug, stir the vanilla extract into the milk along with the beaten eggs. Whisk this, a little at a time, into the sugar and butter mixture, ensuring it's thoroughly incorporated before adding more.
- Sift the flour and cocoa powder together, then fold gently into the cake batter. Finally, stir in the milk chocolate chips.
- Tip the whole mix into the buttered dish and smooth using a spatula to fill the dish. Cook for 5 mins or until the brownies are well-risen and slightly firm to touch. Don't worry if they're still a bit soft in the centre; they will continue to cook for several minutes once out of the microwave.
- Put the hot dish onto a cooling rack and leave for at least 20 mins to firm up. Cut into 8 squares. Will keep in an airtight container for three days.

- Stir together the oil and sugar in a 12- or 14- ounce ceramic, microwave- safe mug, using a fork. Stir in the egg yolk and vanilla, and then the sour cream. Stir in the baking powder and salt, and then the flour and cocoa powder.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes, depending on your microwave (in my microwave, 1 ½ minutes is just about golden). The cake is done when it rises above the edge of the mug (or close to it) and its top looks glossy and set, but not wet.
- Let cool briefly- it will collapse-sorry, but true. The center will be more molten-like than cake-like, very soft, and very hot-be careful! Enjoy ASAP with vanilla ice cream.

- Whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt in a microwave-safe mug.
- Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla and mix well with a spatula, making sure the dry ingredients at the bottom get incorporated.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Brownie will still be moist in the middle. If brownie appears too fudgy, microwave for another 30 seconds until desired consistency is reached. Do not microwave for more than 2 minutes total. The longer you cook it, the more cake-like the brownie becomes.
