Steps:
- Combine 7 cups water, the soy sauce, chili oil, tea leaves, five-spice powder, 2 teaspoons salt and the sugar in a medium pot over high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat, uncover and let cool completely.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Gently add the eggs and cook for 7 minutes. Remove the eggs and transfer to a bowl of ice water; let stand until cool to the touch.
- Once the eggs have cooled, lightly crack the shells all over. The goal here is to make enough cracks to allow the flavor of the soy sauce mixture to steep into the egg. (You can also put them on a kitchen towel and roll gently.) Add the cracked eggs to the soy sauce mixture, making sure they are completely submerged. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
- Peel the eggs. Cut a small piece off the wide bottom of each egg so it will sit flat, then cut off the top. Scoop out the egg yolks into a small bowl and mash them up with a fork. Stir in the mayonnaise, mustard, Sriracha, a pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper. Tint orange with food coloring.
- Pipe or scoop the filling into the egg whites. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
HALLOWEEN DEVIL'D EGGS RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Steps:
- Put eggs on to boil. Meanwhile, cut small triangles from strips of red pepper for the ears, and additional thin strips for tails. When eggs are done, cut in halves lengthwise, placing the yolks in a mixing bowl and the whites on a serving dish. Mash together the egg yolks with whatever ingredients you like in your filling. (I used pinches of salt, garlic salt, and dry mustard, about 1/4 tsp. paprika, and enough mayo for a creamy consistency. I used a hand mixer to blend). Transfer filling to a piping bag and fill the egg white halves with the mixture. (I used a ziptop bag with a corner cut off.) At the wider end of eggs, decorate eggs with the bell pepper triangles for ears, bell pepper strips for tails, and peppercorns for eyes. (I used tweezers for placing the peppercorns).

Steps:
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and let eggs stand in hot water for 15 minutes. Remove eggs from hot water, cool under cold running water, and peel.
- Cut each egg in half lengthwise, remove the yolks, and place the yolks in a bowl with the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mash the yolks and stir the mixture until smooth and thoroughly combined.
- Fill each egg half with the deviled yolk mixture using a spoon, piping bag, or a sturdy plastic bag with a corner cut off.
- Cut olives in half and place 1 half on each filled egg as the spider body. Cut the other olive half into 4 strips. Cut each strip in half, so you end up with 8 thin olive pieces for the legs. Arrange 4 olive legs on each side of the spider body. Dust with paprika.
