ISLAND CRAB SALAD TREATS

Creamy and sweet from avocado and mango and with just a little zing from hot pepper sauce, this easy crab salad will be the talk of the potluck.

Steps:

  • Combine first 5 ingredients in medium bowl.
  • Mix next 3 ingredients. Add to crab mixture; mix lightly.
  • Serve with crackers.

1 can (6 oz.) crabmeat, drained, flaked
1/2 cup finely chopped mangos
1/4 cup finely chopped avocados
2 Tbsp. finely chopped red onions
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
1 Tbsp. KRAFT Lite House Italian Dressing
2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
reduced-fat woven wheat crackers

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine sweet relish, mayonnaise, and crabmeat. Set aside.
  • On a 12-inch chilled platter, combine the 2 types of lettuce. Arrange tomato wedges around the perimeter of platter. Alternate the olives, bell pepper rings, and cucumber slices between the tomatoes. Spoon the crabmeat mixture into the center. Top with the quartered hard-boiled eggs arranged in a pinwheel fashion.

1/4 cup sweet relish
1/2 cup bacon and tomato twist mayonnaise (recommended: Best Foods)
12 ounces crabmeat
1 medium head green leaf lettuce, chopped
1 medium head iceberg lettuce, chopped
1 vine-ripened tomato, sliced into 8 wedges
1 can black olives (whole and pitted)
1 small green bell pepper, sliced into 1/4-inch rings
1 medium cucumber, sliced 1/4-inch thick
2 hard-boiled eggs, quartered lengthwise

Impressive and super simple salad. Prep time includes chilling time. Ready Set Cook, could not be easier! Double the dressing if you like more on your salad, and if too thick use cream either 1/2 and 1/2 or whipping cream to thin the dressing.

Layered Crab Salad With Thousand Island Dressing image

Steps:

  • Use a tall glass bowl like a trifle bowl for the total effect of the layers.
  • Start layering first the lettuce then in order of the ingredients ending with the crab.
  • Mix dressing ingredients together except for the pecans.
  • Cover and chill each separately for at least 1 hour.
  • Serve with the dressing drizzled over the whole salad and garnished with sprinkled pecans.

  • Blue Cheese Salad Dressing. Blue cheese salad dressing is perfect for those who like their food with a little kick! It’s got the perfect amount of tangy flavor that goes great with crab meat or simply tossed into a salad with greens and some veggies on top!
