KENTUCKY COLESLAW
We love going to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Although we enjoy the chicken, we actually go for the coleslaw. We buy several pints at a time. I make several versions of cole slaw but we sometime just want this. I tried for several years before getting this recipe right. I think I have figured it out now.If you are in a hurry get a bag of the preshredded slaw mix. It is not quite as good as grating it yourself though. -Donna Gribbins, Shelbyville, Kentucky

KENTUCKY FRIED CABBAGE
I love KFC Original Recipe Chicken and all the fixings, but I ran out of the fixings one day and decided to make a cabbage stir fry using the Original Recipe Chicken to flavor the cabbage I had on hand and it came out great and it stretches out to make a meal for the whole family using just one piece of chicken. The flavor goes along way in this recipe and you can actually flavor a whole cabbage with just one piece of the Colonel Sanders Chicken. Make some buttermilk biscuits and some mashed potatoes and you have a wonderful homemade version of the Meal with all the fixings just different

Steps:
- Add shredded cabbage to a hot skillet with a dab of oil or butter or use just water and cook over medium heat until stir-fried and crispy or soft. Reduce heat and cover while cooking and you prepare the chicken.
- Prepare the chicken so it looks like this.
- Add the shredded piece of Colonel Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken and stir-fry until hot. *Tip I like to cook the cabbage until it gets a little brown or burnt on the edges for flavor.
- Top with a sliced serrano pepper and serve with a side of mashed potatoes & gravy and a homemade buttermilk biscuit. Enjoy!
FRIED CABBAGE
When I was young, my family grew our own cabbages. It was fun to put them to use in the kitchen, just as I did with this comforting side. With potatoes, deviled eggs and cornbread, fried cabbage tastes like home. -Bernice Morris, Marshfield, Missouri

SOUTHERN FRIED CABBAGE
This dish was always a favorite at Mammaw's house. Cabbage is fried with onion and bacon in this simple quick side dish. Terrific with cornbread.
