GLAZED HAM SLICES
BESIDES being a great cook, my mom could put a meal together in no time at all. A creative cook, she didn't always measure everything, which made it look so easy. This recipe of hers is quick to put together. The sauce is simple but delicious. We have ham quite often and this is our favorite "leftover" dish. -Leona Luecking, West Burlington, Iowa

I was asked to share the recipe with a church social and there were so many raves, I knew the recipe was a winner! -Sheila Christensen, San Marcos, California

Also known as Ohio lemon pie, this Shaker lemon pie is a Midwestern favorite. Its thrifty use of whole lemons is unique and gives the pie a lovely combination of sweet, tart and slightly bitter flavors. Lemon lovers won't be able to stop at a single piece. -Deb Perry, Traverse City, Michigan
