Mini Maple Walnut Pies image

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat mini pie maker,(or regular oven to 400 degrees)In a bowl combine brown sugar,egg,maple syrup, butter and vanilla.Add walnuts and mix well.
  • 2. Line mini pie maker or muffin tins with pie crust. Use a spoon to divide filling evenly among pies. Bake in mini pie maker for 8-10 minutes or preheated 400 degree oven for 12-15 minutes,or until crust is golden and filling is set.

1/2 c brown sugar
1 large egg (lightly beaten)
2 Tbsp butter, melted
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c crushed walnuts

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix syrup, eggs, sugar, butter and salt until smooth. Fold in walnuts. Pour into pie crust; cover edge of pastry with foil. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake 25 minutes more or until the filling is set. Cool.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C.)
  • In a saucepan, Mix brown sugar and flour. Add maple syrup, butter and salt. Heat until butter melts, stirring constantly.
  • In a medium bowl, beat eggs with maple flavoring. Stir in sugar mixture. Pour into unbaked pie shell and sprinkle with walnuts.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until filling is set.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in egg, vanilla and flavoring. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with cream and syrup, beating well after each addition. Stir in 1/4 cup pecans., Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets; sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup pecans. Bake until edges are light brown and tops spring back when lightly touched, 8-10 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely., For filling, in a large bowl, beat butter, shortening and flavoring until creamy. Beat in confectioners' sugar alternately with cream and syrup until smooth. Spread filling on bottoms of half of the cookies; cover with remaining cookies. Store in airtight containers.
