- Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper.
- In medium bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed 2 to 3 minutes or until light and creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. On low speed, beat in flour mixture until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and candies.
- Onto cookie sheets, drop dough by level 1/4 cupfuls about 4 inches apart.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
- In a large bowl, using a hand-held mixer or stand mixer with paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugars together on medium speed, about 3 minutes. Mix in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla (in that order). Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Slowly mix in the baking soda and flour. Do not over-mix. On low speed, beat in the quick oats, M&Ms, and chocolate chips just until incorporated. If the dough is very soft and unmanageable by hand, chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling.
- Rolls balls of dough, about 2 Tablespoons of dough per ball, onto prepared baking sheet. Press a few extra M&Ms on top for looks, if preferred. Bake for 11-13 minutes– the cookies will still look a little soft, which is recommended. Slightly press down the baked cookies with the back of a spoon, since the cookies only slightly spread in the oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Cookies will firm up as they cool.

Now try to make sure each log is pretty well rounded, then wrap in a generous amount of tin foil. This will prevent the dough from forming a straight edge. Place the logs in the fridge for at least one hour or up to three days. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Remove one roll of dough at a time from the fridge. Unwrap the dough and slice crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick rounds, turning the dough a quarter turn after each slice to help keep the cookies round. Place 1/2 inch apart on the prepared baking sheet. If your cookies aren’t as round as you want them to be, shape the dough with your fingers. Bake 8 minutes for soft cookies.
