Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Hershey's Bar Cookies image

Steps:

  • Cream together butter, brown and white sugar and salt.
  • Beat in eggs.
  • In another bowl, combine baking soda, baking powder, flour and oatmeal.
  • Mix dry ingredients with egg mixture.
  • Mix in chocolate chips, chocolate bar pieces and walnuts.
  • Drop by the tablespoonful on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 350 degrees until light brown.
  • ENJOY!

I wanted an on-the-go oatmeal bar without the artificial ingredients of commercial bars. This is the base for the bars, a recipe easily modified to suit your own tastes.

Baked Oatmeal Breakfast Bars image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square pan.
  • Combine oats, brown sugar, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Whisk milk, eggs, canola oil, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl. Stir egg mixture into oats mixture until well combined; set aside until flavors blend, about 20 minutes. Spread oats mixture into prepared square pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden brown, about 30 minutes.

I make this recipe for friends and family which they can't get enough of! It has the perfect amount of sweetness and crunch factor but still moist! Also freezes well. ENJOY!!!!! Also I am blind and I can't really tell you a prep time because it takes me a little longer

Steps:

  • Preheat oven at 325
  • combine the first 7 ingredients in order written
  • Spread mixture in a 8 inch ungreased square pan evenly
  • Bake for 20 minutes-30 minutes or until done
  • take out and lay the 3 regular hershey bars and let melt. Spread evenly on cookie mixture
  • Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top
  • Let cool and cut into bars. I like to cut them into bite size pieces.

Fudgy Oatmeal Bars image

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats by hand. Press two-thirds of mixture into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. , For filling, heat butter, milk and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted. Remove from heat; stir in the nuts, vanilla and salt. Spread over oat mixture in pan. , Drop reserved oat mixture by teaspoonfuls onto filling. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Cut into bars while warm.
