Steps:

  • Slice the baguette into 24 slices.
  • Brush olive oil on both sides of each slice.
  • Toast bread 3 inches from broiler for 1 minute per side.
  • Rub one side of each piece of bread with peeled garlic clove.
  • Top each slice of bread with 2 slices of tomato, 1 fresh basil leave, 2 slices of pepperoni, 1 slice of mozzarella, and 1/2 tsp grated Parmesan.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for one minute, until cheese melts.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Brush bread slices with oil; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes or until crisp.
  • Top each with pizza sauce, chicken, cheese and parsley.
  • Bake at 350 for an additional 5 to 8 minutes or until topping is hot and cheese is melted.
  • Serve warm.

  • Preheat the oven (or a gas grill*) to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up, if desired. If your baking sheet is smaller than mine, you may need to make the toast in two batches.
  • Slice your baguette on the diagonal into pieces no wider than ½-inch. I can usually fit 20 to 24 slices on my large baking sheet; you might have some bread left over. Lightly brush both sides of each slice with olive oil (this will require about 2 to 3 tablespoons oil).
  • Place the slices in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet and bake them on the middle rack for 6 to 9 minutes, until they’re crisp and nicely golden on top. Sprinkle the toasts lightly with salt. Transfer the toasts to a serving platter, if desired, and use as desired.

Bake for 3 minutes on each side. Tip: if you do not have a basting brush, you can dip your fingers into the oil and rub the oil evenly onto the bread using your hands.
  • Add toppings: remove bread slices from oven and layer with marinara, mozzarella slices, and parmesan cheese.
