- Combine: Sugar, oil, eggs and apples. Sift in flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda. Mix until combined. Pour into a 9x13 greased pan and bake for 1 hour in a preheated 350 degree oven. Serve hot or cold with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

My cousins and I love this for our birthdays. Grandma used to make it for every one of our birthdays and the holidays. We use to love having vanila ice cream with it.

Steps:
- 1. Combine sugar, oil and eggs in a large bowl. Mix well
- 2. Add apples. Mix well.
- 3. Sift remaining ingredients. (add raisins and nuts to dry ingredients if desired)
- 4. Combine and mix well
- 5. Pour into a 9x12 pan(greased) or a muffin/cupcake pan with liners works and bake one hour at 350 degrees.

- Pour into 9x13 inch greased pan.
- Bake one hour in a 350 degree oven.
