GRAVY BAKED PORK CHOPS

These pork chops will melt in your mouth. They are very good and easy to assemble. They are first sauteed in butter, then baked in a creamy mushroom sauce.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper to taste. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute the pork chops in the butter for about 5 minutes per side.
  • In a separate medium bowl, combine the milk, water and soup. Place the pork chops in a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the soup mixture over the chops.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes.

Steps:

  • In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, brown pork chops on both sides. Remove and set aside. , In the same skillet, saute the carrots, green pepper and onion until crisp-tender, stirring to loosen any browned bits from pan. Stir in the soup, water and sage. , Return chops to the pan. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160°. Serve with noodles or rice.

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper, and arrange in a single layer in pan. Pan-fry for 2 minutes on each side to brown. Pour in wine, and continue cooking for 6 minutes. Remove chops from pan.
  • Pour cream into the skillet, and then add mushrooms. Increase heat to high; cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until sauce reduces and thickens. Return chops to pan to warm before serving.

After the first review that I got for this recipe, saying that Potatoes O'Brien could not be bought in that location, I decided to add that if you can't find the Potatoes O'Brien in your store, they are easily made. I found one recipe right here, recipe #25545. Making them the day before works best, but they can also be made just prior to fixing this dish.

Pork Chops With Creamy Gravy and Vegetables image

Steps:

  • Spray skillet with non stick spray.
  • Heat over medium high heat.
  • Sprinkle pork chops with seasoned salt, then cook 5 or 6 minutes until brown on both sides. Remove from pan and keep warm.
  • Combine sour cream, soup and sage, mix well.
  • Add to skillet, then stir in the frozen vegetables.
  • Place chops over vegetables, and press gently to seat.
  • Boil, then lower heat to medium-low. cover.
  • Cook 10 - 15 minutes. Pork chops should no longer be pink in the middle, and the vegetables should be tender. Stir occasionally.
  • Serve with rice or buttered noodles.
