- Shake ingredients (except soda) together in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Add soda and stir. Strain into a hurricane glass over ice, and serve.

BISHOP COCKTAIL
A cocktail with red wine as the base. I like it a bit sweeter, so I increased the simple syrup from 3/4 oz to 1 oz. Use a fruity, full-bodied wine like a cabernet sauvignon.

- In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, muddle lemon wheel with simple syrup (pound the lemon with the end of a thick wooden spoon or a muddler to extract the juice and the oils from the rind). Add rum, and fill canister halfway with ice. Cover and shake well. Drain into a goblet.
- Add 3 ice cubes and red wine to goblet. Stir gently and garnish with a half-slice of lemon.

RUBY RED ROCKET COCKTAIL
I found this on the internet looking for drinks with the Ruby Red Absolut Vodka. It is from Emiril Lagasse 2002. This recipe calls for either citrus vodka or vodka, but it is terrific with the Ruby Red vodka!

Steps:
- If you would like to garnish the glass, wet the rim of a martini glass with a little of the ruby red grapefruit juice and then dip the rim into the brown sugar.
- In a shaker over ice, combine the Ruby Red Vodka, Triple Sec, and juice. Shake to mix and chill.
- Strain into the martini glass.
- Slowly add the creme de cassis or raspberry liqueur so that it settles on the bottom of the glass.
- Serve!
