BLT BOW TIE PASTA SALAD
This is summer in a bowl. The flavor of a BLT really comes through, with a bit of BBQ sauce for a kick. It's great any time of year as a main dish or a side. People always ask for the recipe wherever I take this salad.

Steps:
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- In a big serving bowl, combine the pasta, romaine, cherry tomatos and bacon bits.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, barbecue sauce, vinegar and pepper. Pour over pasta mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately.
- This is also really good with leftover chicken chopped up and mixed inches Prep time does not include the cooking time.

- Cut cherry tomatoes in half

- Cook the bacon. While the bacon is cooking, start cooking the pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain under cold water until the pasta is cool.
- While the pasta is boiling, slice the tomatoes and chop the lettuce. When the bacon is out of the oven, or off the stove, set it aside to drain on paper towels.
- Stir together the mayonnaise, bacon grease, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Add the pasta, tomatoes, lettuce, and bacon. Toss well to thoroughly coat the pasta.
- Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
