EASY SAUSAGE CHEESE BALLS
These are great for appetizers or for breakfast! Sausage cheese balls may be frozen before or after baking.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the sausage, cheese, and dry baking mix. Mix together, and shape mixture into walnut-sized balls. Place on a foil-lined cookie sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Serve hot.

These sausage balls were a hit at our Christmas party this year. I accidentaly used low-fat cheese in the recipe and couldn't tell the difference. No frying necessary, they bake beautifully.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Combine the sausage, baking mix, cheddar cheese, onion, celery and garlic powder. Mix well and form into 1 inch balls.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet 1/2 inch apart. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

- Add flour mix, sausage, cheese, onion and garlic powder to a bowl. Mix well. I like to start with a spoon and then finish with my hands. You may initially think the ratio of ingredients are way off. There will be lots of cheese that doesn't seem to mix into the sausage. But if you continue to mix with your hands, it will eventually all come together.

- Whisk together 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon onion powder together in stand mixer bowl. Place on stand mixer fitted with dough hook attachment.
- Add in 8oz of shredded cheese and stir in using the hook at low speed. Turn off the mixer and add in 1 pound of breakfast sausage and 3 tablespoons of melted butter and mix on low, gradually increasing the speed to medium to medium-high until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Scoop the mixture into about 32 equal portions, rolling each between your palms into a ball shape. Place each ball about 1-inch apart on the lined baking sheet.
