- In a heavy skillet, heat the olive oil and the bay leaf over medium heat. Add the garlic and saute, stirring for a minute or so until just softened.
- Add the pepper flakes, the capers, and the brandy, and cook off the alcohol for a minute. Turn heat to medium-high and toss in the shrimp, stirring quickly to cook them evenly.
- Cook the shrimp until opaque and just firm.
- Remove from heat, stir in the paprikas and the parsley. Taste for salt. Serve immediately with warm crusty peasant bread for dipping.

- Heat garlic and oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until garlic starts to turn golden, about 2 minutes. Add shrimp and increase heat to high. Toss and turn shrimp with tongs until starting to curl but still undercooked, about 2 minutes. Pour in sherry. Cook, stirring continuously, until sauce comes up to a boil and shrimp is cooked through, about 1 minute more. Remove from heat. Stir in parsley with a spoon.

- Sprinkle the shrimp with salt, toss and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Heat the oil over medium heat in a heavy nonstick frying pan, and add the garlic, bay leaf and chile. Cook, stirring, until the garlic begins to color, about one minute. Turn the heat up to medium-high, and add the shrimp. Cook, stirring, until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through, two to three minutes. - Rinse the shrimp and pat them dry. Sprinkle the shrimp on both sides with the salt and let them stand between layers of paper towel for 10 minutes. In a large heavy skillet cook the garlic in the oil over moderate heat, stirring, until it is golden and transfer it with a slotted spoon to a small bowl. Add the ham and the red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook the mixture, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the ham deepens in color. Add the bell pepper and cook the mixture, stirring, until the bell pepper is softened. Add the shrimp and sauté the mixture over moderately high heat, turning the shrimp, for 3 minutes. Add the Sherry and the garlic and simmer the mixture, stirring and turning the shrimp occasionally, until the shrimp are just cooked through. Transfer the shrimp mixture to a heated serving dish, sprinkle it with the parsley, and serve it with the bread.

- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the spaghetti and cook, stirring occasionally, until barely tender.
- While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large (12-inch) skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1 minute. Add the capers and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally until the shrimps turn pink and firm, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice, parsley and season with salt and pepper.
- Drain the spaghetti and return to the warmed pot. Add the shrimp and its sauce and toss, adding the remaining 3 tablespoons oil or more if you wish.

- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Melt the butter and add in the garlic and fry until fragrant (about one minute). Add in the shrimp and fry two minutes on each side, until just cooked through and pink. Transfer to a bowl; set aside.

- Peel and thinly slice 8 cloves of garlic, pat down 15 raw jumbo shrimp (peeled & deveined) with paper towels, season the shrimp with sea salt & black pepper, reserve 4 small dried cayenne peppers and measure out 1/3 cup white wine
- Heat a large fry pan with a medium heat and add in 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil, after 2 minutes season the olive oil with sea salt and add in the sliced garlic & cayenne peppers, mix with the olive oil, after 2 minutes and the garlics are developing a light golden fried color, add the shrimp into the pan, making sure they´re all in a single layer
- After 1 1/2 to 2 minutes flip the shrimp to cook the other side, then add in the 1/3 cup of white wine and raise the heat to a medium-high heat
- After a total cooking time of about 4 minutes on the shrimp (2 minutes per side), they should be perfectly cooked, remove the pan from the heat, transfer everything into a serving dish and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley, serve next to a crusty baguette to mop up all the sauce, enjoy!
