SWEET 'N' SOUR RIBS

If you're looking for a change from typical barbecue ribs, you'll enjoy this recipe my mom always prepared on birthdays and special occasions. The tender ribs have a slight sweet-and-sour taste that my family loves. I usually serve them with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad or coleslaw. -Dorothy Voelz, Champaign, Illinois

MOM'S 'SWEET 'N' SOURS' PORK RIBS

My Mom's longtime recipe that she learned from my grandmother who has long passed on. Combines soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, dry mustard, garlic, as well as a few other simple ingredients to make a delicious sauce for sweet and sour cut ribs. Great over rice! Some say rice and this sauce is their favorite food! A Lechner family tradition!

SWEET AND SOUR RIBS

This is really called "Aunt Margarets sweet and sour ribs". My mother in law gave me this recipe when I first got married, who got it from her Aunt. I always double up on the sauce to make sure there is enough to pour over the rice. It is awesome the second day too, just skim off the fat before you heat it up and the ribs will just melt in your mouth! We love broccoli to eat with this dish, gives it an oriental feel. I hope you enjoy !
