Steps:
- 1. Dissolve jello in boiling water; stir until jello has dissolved. Slowly add ginger ale, pineapple and bananas.Pour into glass serving bowl and chill until partially set.Before it is completely set; sprinkle marshmallows on top evenly. Chill until set, about 4 hours.
- 2. Meanwhile, Combine sugar, flour. butter, egg and pineapple juice in a small saucepan and cook and stir until thickened; chill until cold.
- 3. Whip the cream cheese until creamy and fluffy.Set aside. Whip the whip cream then whip the cream cheese and the whipped cream together . Now fold in the flour mixture; gently spread on top of the marshmallows. Top evenly with the two cheese.

- Stir pineapple, cottage cheese, and whipped topping together in a bowl; sprinkle gelatin mix over the top and stir until well-mixed. Refrigerate until chilled and set, at least 2 hours.

Cut between pineapple slices and serve. *Optional: top with cottage cheese or a dollop of whipped cream. *You could also do this with other canned fruit and flavors of Jello, but you would lose the nifty pineapple ring effect....
