Texas Heat Potato Packet Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat grill to med-high. Center potatoes on sheet of foil (dull) side toward food. Combine dry rub ingredients; sprinkle 2 Tsp. over potatoes. Top with butter. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to form one large foil packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Grill 15-18 minutes in covered grill. Stir before serving.

Steps:

• On two pieces of heavy-duty foil (about 18 in. x 18 in.), divide potatoes, onion, butter, salt and pepper. Fold foil around potato mixture; seal tightly. Cook on a covered grill over medium heat for 20-30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

• Preheat oven to 375F degrees.
• on stove in pan mix sour cream, margarine, and cream of chicken until it becomes a bit runny.
• Pour hashbrowns into a 9 by 13 inch pan and add liquid mixture on top, mix up so all potatoes are saturated.
• Bake at 375 for 40 minutes.
• Take out of oven and top with 2 cups of cheddar cheese, return to oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
• This is a family favorite.

• Place potatoes and water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until almost tender. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until partially cooked but not crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain., Drain potatoes. On a double thickness of greased heavy-duty foil (about 18 in. square), layer half of the potatoes, bacon, onion, cheese and butter. Repeat layers., Fold foil around potato mixture and seal tightly. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 12-14 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is melted. Carefully remove foil to allow steam to escape.

Steps:

• PREHEAT grill to medium heat.
• Place potatoes in center of 18-inch-long piece of heavy-duty foil. (Or, use a double layer of regular foil.)
• Drizzle with water and oil.
• Bring up foil sides.
• Double fold top and ends to seal packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside.
• GRILL 18 to 20 minute or until potatoes are tender.
• CUT slits in foil to release steam.
• Open packet.
• Drizzle potatoes with dressing; sprinkle with cheese and parsley.

Steps:

• Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan.
• Mix first 7 ingredients in a large bowl and pour into baking pan.
• Mix crushed corn flakes with melted butter and top potato mix.
• Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
