- 1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F. GREASE 8X8X2 INCH BAKING PAN.
- 2. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS, BROWN SUGAR, WALNUTS OR PECANS AND CINNAMON IN A SMALL BOWL UNTIL WELL BLENDED; SET ASIDE.
- 3. SIFT ALL FLOUR, BAKING SODA, SALT & BAKING POWDER AND SET ASIDE.
- 4. USING AN ELECTRIC MIXER, BEAT SUGAR, BUTTER AND EGG IN MIXING BOWL UNTIL FLUFFY. BEAT IN MASHED BANANAS AND BUTTERMILK. ADD DRY INGREDIENTS AND BLEND WELL.
- 5. SPREAD HALF THE BATTER IN PREPARED BAKING PAN. SPRINKLE WITH HALF OF STREUSEL MIX. REPEAT WITH REMAINING BATTER.
- 6. BAKE COFFEE CAKE UNTIL TESTER INSERTED COMES OUT CLEAN, ABOUT 45 MINUTES.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter and flour 8x8x2-inch metal baking pan. Stir chocolate chips, brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in small bowl until well blended; set streusel aside. Sift all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into medium bowl. Using electric mixer, beat sugar, room temperature butter, and egg in large bowl until fluffy. Beat in mashed bananas and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients and blend well.
- Spread half of batter (about 2 cups) in prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with half of streusel. Repeat with remaining batter and streusel. Bake coffee cake until tester inserted into center comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Cool coffee cake in pan on rack.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda together in a large bowl. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl until well combined.
- Combine sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl; beat with an electric mixer until creamy. Add banana and vanilla extract; mix until smooth. Mix in beaten eggs. Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream.

- Using a handheld or stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat the butter on high speed until creamy, about 1 minute. Scrape down the sides and the bottom of the bowl as needed.
