Better Than Fried Shrimp image

Steps:

  • Place bread crumbs in a shallow bowl.
  • In another shallow bowl, combine egg whites and milk.
  • In a third shallow bowl, combine flour, seafood seasoning, salt and pepper.
  • Dip shrimp in the flour mixture, egg mixture, then bread crumbs.
  • Place shrimp on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 8-12 minutes or until shrimp turn pink and coating is golden brown, turning once.

1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon skim milk
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons seafood seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
30 uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined
olive oil flavored cooking spray

Crunchy Fried Shrimp image

Steps:

  • Beat eggs in a medium bowl until frothy. Mix flour, salt and pepper in another medium bowl. Dredge shrimp in flour, shake off excess. Dip shrimp into eggs, then press shrimp into Panko; turn shrimp over and press into Panko again to coat both sides.
  • Pour enough oil into heavy large pot to reach depth of 2 inches; heat to 350 degrees F. Working in batches, add shrimp to hot oil; deep-fry until cooked through, about 1 minute. Using tongs transfer shrimp to paper towels to drain. Arrange shrimp on platter. If desired, serve with Kikkoman Tonkatsu Sauce for dipping.
