Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk well.
  • Cover and chill at least 1 hour or until serving.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and place on platter; surround with various raw veggies, or steamed asparagus (or peeled, cooked prawns).

3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup light sour cream
1 tablespoon distilled vinegar
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 teaspoon orange zest, grated
1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 1/2 tablespoons fresh gingerroot, peeled and grated
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
salt and pepper

I've tried many many veggie dip recipes but this is my favourite. A co-worker gave it to me years ago - the Beau Monde is what makes it so good!!!

  • Combine all ingredients& mix well.
  • Refrigerate in a covered container for 24 hours before using.

1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon beau monde spice (by Spice Islands)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chives
3 drops hot sauce
1 teaspoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon dill weed

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients well; chill.
  • Serve with fresh vegetables for snacking.
  • This will keep for several weeks in the refrigerator.
  • If using fresh ginger, cut slices perpendicular to the direction of the fibers, then place chucks in a garlic press and crush.
