- Preheat oven to 350°. Place dates, water and sugar in a small saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly., In a large bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt; stir in melted butter and egg white. Press half of the mixture into an 8-in. square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Spread carefully with date mixture; top with remaining oat mixture. , Bake until lightly browned, 20-25 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

- In a saucepan, combine dates, sugar and water. Cook, stirring frequently, until very thick. Stir in walnuts, if desired; cool. , Sift the flour, salt and baking soda together in a large bowl; add oats and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle water over mixture; stir lightly. Pat half into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Spread with date mixture; cover with remaining oat mixture and pat lightly. , Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

- 1. Stir together flour, sugar, soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.2. In large mixing bowl, combine KELLOGG'S ALL-BRAN cereal and buttermilk. Let stand 3 minutes or until cereal softens. Add eggs and oil. Beat well. Add dates and raisins. Stir in flour mixture, mixing only until combined. Spread batter evenly in 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray.3. - In medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside. In large bowl, mix together cereal and buttermilk. Let stand for 5 minutes or until cereal is softened. Add eggs and oil; beat well. Stir in flour mixture until combined. Stir in dates and raisins. Spread batter evenly in 23 cm (9-inch) square baking pan coated with non-stick cooking spray. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 10-by-15-inch rimmed baking sheet. Line bottom with parchment paper, and butter parchment; set sheet aside.
- Make filling: Pulse raisins and sugar in a food processor until almost pureed. Transfer to a saucepan. Whisk cornstarch into 1 cup cold water; whisk into raisin mixture. Stir in cider. Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture thickens and sugar has dissolved, about 6 minutes.Let cool completely.
- Make dough: Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside. Put shortening in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix on medium speed until smooth. Add brown sugar, and mix until pale and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. Add egg and vanilla, and mix until combined. Reduce speed to low. Add flour mixture; mix until just combined. Mix in oats.
- Press half the dough into prepared baking sheet. Spread raisin filling evenly over top of dough. Crumble remaining dough on top of filling using your fingers, gently pressing down so that topping covers filling. Bake, rotating sheet halfway through, until top is golden brown, about 35 minutes. Let cool completely in sheet on a wire rack. Cut into 2-inchsquares. Bars can be stored between layers of parchment in airtight containers at room temperature up to 5 days.

- In 2-quart saucepan, cook filling ingredients over low heat about 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cool 5 minutes.
- Heat oven to 400°F. Grease bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with shortening.
- In large bowl, stir brown sugar and butter until well mixed. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda and salt until crumbly. Press half of the crumb mixture evenly in bottom of pan. Spread with filling. Top with remaining crumb mixture; press lightly.

- Dice the dates in your food processor. If you soak them first, it will be easier to dice, but if you’re like me, you’ll forget to do that ahead of time, so just go ahead and dice them. You may need to pulse for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the dates, raisins, and water to a saucepan on medium heat. Heat to a boil, stirring occasionally. Turn the heat to low and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened (about 10 minutes.) Stir in the walnuts, then turn the heat off, and set aside.
- While the date mixture is cooking, add the shortening, coconut oil, and coconut sugar to your food processor and pulse. Scrape down the sides, then add the almond flour, coconut flour, salt, baking soda, and 3/4 cup of coconut flakes. Pulse again, scraping the side, and pulse one more time.
