ITALIAN GREEN BEANS

This recipe my sister told me about. Its very simple and can be adapted in many different ways. I would add slivers of pecans to this and pimentos.Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

Italian Green Beans image

Steps:

  • Put green beans in a saucepan, add the italian dressing and the one can of water. Let come to a boil. Drain. Salt and pepper to taste and serve.

1 cup(s) italian dressing
1 can(s) water, i use the water that i drained off the green beans

Italian Green Beans image

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic; saute 1 minute longer. Add the tomatoes, water, oregano, basil, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 40 minutes., Meanwhile, place beans in a large saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil. Cook, uncovered, for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Add tomato mixture and cheese; cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.

Steps:

  • Place green beans into a large skillet and cover with water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until beans start to soften, about 5 minutes. Drain water. Add butter to green beans; cook and stir until butter is melted, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Cook and stir garlic with green beans until garlic is tender and fragrant, 3 to 4 minutes. Season with lemon pepper and salt.
