OLD FASHIONED VANILLA ICE CREAM
Steps:
- Beat egg yolks and sugar until well blended. Pour mixture into the top of a double boiler over simmering water, and stir in half-and-half. Cook until thickened; if necessary, microwave for 1 minute or until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and cool. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla, and then pour into the bowl of an ice cream freezer. Process according to manufacturer's instructions until firm.

This old-time ice cream recipe was actually my great-great-grandmother's recipe. I've tried a lot of different homemade ice cream recipes, but this one always stands out as my family's favorite!

Steps:
- Beat egg yolks with half of sugar and all of flour. Mix until creamy. Add evaporated milk then add rest of sugar and vanilla.
- Beat egg whites until fairly stiff. Fold into above mixture. Put in ice cream freezer and add whole milk, leaving about 1 1/2 inches at top of freezer.
- Freeze in ice cream freezer. Makes 1 gallon.

Steps:
- Combine sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
- Whip cream in a large bowl until thick and cream holds its shape. Fold whipped cream into sweetened condensed milk.
- Pour into 9x5 -inch loaf pan or 8z8-inch baking pan; cover well. Freeze 6 hours or until firm.
- Variations: Fold in 2 cups of your favorite chocolate bars before freezing the ice cream. CHOCOLATE: Add 2/3 cup Smucker's Sundae Syrup Chocolate to step one. MEXICAN CHOCOLATE: Add 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1/8 tsp, cayenne to above chocolate variation. STRAWBERRY: Add 1 cup Purée or mashed strawberries to step 1 . CINNAMON: Add 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon to step 1. These are just some of the flavors that you can try, let your imagination run away with you!

EAGLE BRAND OLD-FASHIONED ICE CREAM
Wow! Leave it to Eagle Brand to make such luscious and easy treats! This is so super easy! This recipe is not their Original Ice Cream recipe! The times are for prep. only. Does not include chill time or freeze time.

Steps:
- Sprinkle gelatin over water in measuring cup. Place cup in a pan of hot water to dissolve gelatin.
- In large bowl, combine Eagle Brand, milk and vanilla. Add gelatin; mix well.
- Cool 1 hour in fridge until mixture is the consistency of unbeaten egg whites.
- Whip cream and fold into Eagle Brand mixture.
- Place mixture in 1 quart freezer container and freeze until firm, at least 8 hours.
- Notes:.
- *For the best flavor, soften slightly before eating... and enjoy ! GOURMET CHOCOLATE: In place of vanilla, melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips. Stir into Eagle Brand before adding milk and gelatin. GOURMET STRAWBERRY: In place of milk and vanilla, add 1 1/2 cups crushed strawberries (cooked for 4 minutes) to Eagle Brand mixture before freezing.
