Steps:

  • Muddle shiso leaves at bottom of cocktail shaker. Add remaining ingredients, shake well with ice and strain into chilled coupe or martini glass. Garnish with shiso leaf and pickled ginger.

2 shiso leaves, plus 1 for garnish
1 1/2 ounces dry sake
1 1/2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce ginger simple syrup
Pickled ginger, for garnish

Steps:

  • Squeeze the lime juice into a martini shaker. Add ice 2/3rds of the way up the shaker. Add lychee infused sake. Shake vigorously. Place a lychee fruit in a martini glass.
  • Strain the cocktail into the glass. Pour the pomegranate juice gently into the martini glass for a floating effect.

1/2 lime, juiced
3 ounces lychee infused sake

1 ounce Pomegranate juice

Steps:

  • Add ginger to the bottled sake and refrigerate overnight.
  • Fill a martini shaker halfway with ice. Add 1 cup ginger-infused sake and shake until well chilled.
  • Strain sake into 4 martini glasses; stir in 3 tablespoons ginger ale per glass. Repeat to make 8 drinks.
  • Garnish each glass with a lemon twist and a strip of crystallized ginger on each rim.

Shake again and strain into a martini glass, or champagne glass or coupe. Add a couple of basil leaves and 1 or 2 lemon zest strips to garnish and serve chilled.
  • To Make the Lemon Basil Ginger Simple Syrup: A super simple pan seared broccoli or broccolini dish with garlicky deep flavor and great texture.Combine the water with the sugar in a small saucepot over medium high heat. Bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the basil, ginger and lemon zest and remove from the heat. Let cool to room temperature, then transfer to a clean glass container and refrigerate for 24 hours. Strain out the solids and place the Basil Ginger Syrup in a clean container.
