MARYLAND CRAB DIP

Steps:

  • Beat first 7 ingredients in medium bowl with mixer until blended.
  • Reserve 1 tsp. onions. Add remaining onions, crabmeat and 1/2 cup shredded cheese to cream cheese mixture; mix well. Spoon into microwaveable bowl.
  • Microwave on HIGH 3 min. or until heated through, stirring after 1-1/2 min. Top with remaining shredded cheese and reserved onions.

4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1 tsp. LEA & PERRINS Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. seafood seasoning
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Few dashes hot pepper sauce
3 green onions, chopped, divided
1 can (6 oz.) crabmeat, drained, flaked
3/4 cup KRAFT Shredded Triple Cheddar Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA, divided

My friend Ida shared this recipe with me... These are her comments: I served this dip in a rosemary and olive oil bread bowl. I toasted the bits of bread from the center, and served them along side. This was SO GOOD! Ida

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • In a med. bowl, combine cream cheese, onion, lemon, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay Seasoning, mayonnaise, crabmeat, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  • If cream cheese is still too hard, place all ingredients into a bowl, and use a mixer, on low speed, to combine.
  • Spread mixture into a 1 quart baking dish.
  • Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven.
  • While the dip is baking, cut a circle in the top of the bread, and scoop out the inside, to create a bread bowl.
  • Tear the removed bread into pieces for dipping.
  • Remove baked crab dip from the oven, and stir well.
  • Spoon the mixture into the hollowed out loaf.
  • Place bread bowl and chunks of bread on a med. baking sheet, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot.

11 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 small onion, finely chopped
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained, and flaked
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1 lemon, juice of
2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease a 1 quart baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, garlic powder and about 2 tablespoons of the Cheddar cheese. Fold in crabmeat, hot sauce and 2 tablespoons seafood seasoning.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining Cheddar cheese and seafood seasoning. Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a glass loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • Mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and seafood seasoning together in a bowl. Gently fold crabmeat into cheese mixture; pour into the prepared loaf pan and top with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until dip is bubbling, about 20 minutes. Toast baguette slices on oven rack during the last 5 minutes of baking the dip.
