JIMMY PAUL'S SUBMARINES

When my mother was in high school, she worked at a restaurant called Jimmy Paul's in Mt. Pleasant, PA. Growing up, we often had these sandwiches. When I told my husband about them, he thought they sounded crazy but enjoyed eating them.

Steps:

  • Slice salami and cheese into 1/2 inch strips.
  • Cut buns open.
  • Put on buns in this order: Salami, cheese, lettuce, peppers, onions, tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle with vinegar and oil.
  • Top with salt and pepper.
  • Enjoy!

  • Cut bread horizontally in half. Spread butter over bottom half.
  • Layer cheese, salami, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, ham and bell pepper on bread.
  • Drizzle with dressing. Top with remaining bread half. Secure loaf with picks. Cut into 6 serving pieces.
