Sloppy Joe Sliders Recipe by Tasty image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, add the ground beef and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Using a spoon, break up the meat and stir until browned.
  • Add the onion and garlic and continue to cook until the onions are translucent.
  • Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, and brown sugar.
  • Stir until the meat is fully cooked and sauce is evenly combined. Set aside.
  • Cut the dinner rolls in half and place the bottom half in a baking pan.
  • Top with meat and sprinkle with cheese. Place the top of the rolls back on top.
  • Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, or until rolls are toasted and cheese is melted.
  • Cut into individual sliders.
  • Enjoy!

Steps:

  • Place the beef in a large pot over medium-high heat and cook until browned, 7 to 10 minutes. Drain off the fat. Add the green peppers and onion and cook, stirring, until they soften slightly and are combined with the beef, a couple of minutes. Add the garlic and stir into the mixture for another minute or so.
  • Add the ketchup and 1 cup water and stir to combine. Add the chili powder, brown sugar, dry mustard, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire and hot sauce. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook until the sauce has thickened, about 20 minutes.
  • Spoon a good amount of the meat on the bottoms of the slider buns. Place a good pinch of the fried onions over the top and place the tops of the buns on the sliders. Serve with the red grapes on the side.

KID-PLEASING SLOPPY JOES

This is one of my kids' favorite recipes! I could make this five times in a row and they'd never get tired of it. It's easy to make and a real quick, hot meal for those busy nights. I will add cheese on top of the sandwiches or warm the rolls in the oven. I occasionally add mild banana peppers on top for my husband since he is a fan of spicy things.

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Without separating rolls, cut rolls in half horizontally; arrange bottom halves in a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Top with half of cheese slices; set aside., In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender, 6-8 minutes, break up beef into crumbles; drain. Stir in sloppy joe sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce and pepper. Cook and stir until combined, 1-2 minutes. Spoon beef mixture evenly over rolls; top with remaining cheese. Replace top halves of rolls. , For glaze, stir together butter, brown sugar, mustard, soy sauce and garlic powder. Brush over rolls; sprinkle with sesame seeds and minced onion. Bake, uncovered, until tops are golden and cheese is melted, 15-20 minutes. If desired, top with pickle slices., Freeze option: Cover and freeze unbaked sandwiches; prepare and freeze glaze.   • Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Carefully drain excess fat from the pan. Add the onion, bell pepper and garlic and cook until fragrant and the veggies soften, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
