ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS LIVERWURST SPREAD (EASY)

A local supper club used to serve a cheddar cheese spread and this liverwurst spread with crackers in the bar area while you were waiting for your table. It is my all time favorite snack for sitting around watching TV. I could eat the entire recipe myself!

Absolutely Delicious Liverwurst Spread (Easy) image

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all together and chill for 1-2 hours or more. Serve with your favorite snack crackers, crunchy bread sticks or party rye.

1 lb liver sausage or braunschweiger
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c finely minced onion
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
garlic powder, to taste (optional)

A friend gave me this recipe - Hope you enjoy! You can add as much or less horseradish, mustard and onion depending on how much flavor you like. I have also used horseradish mustard which gives it nice flavor.

Steps:

  • Blend the Liverwurst and cream cheese together.
  • Add the other ingredients except the walnuts.
  • Roll into a ball.
  • On waxed paper roll the ball in chopped walnuts.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour.
  • Serve with rye crackers or bread sticks. Enjoy!

3 tablespoons white horseradish (I use Hot)
2 tablespoons Grey Poupon mustard
1/4 cup red onion, minced
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Wether you are a fan of braunschweiger or not you will love this spread. Great for the holidays, football games or entertaining. I don't need an occaision to make it as it's one of my favorites! It's easy to make, few ingredients and your friends will love it. Enjoy!

Steps:

  • 1. Combine softened cream cheese and braunschweiger, blend well with a fork.
  • 2. Add relish, garlic salt and worcestershire sauce, mix well.
  • 3. With your hands, pat into a ball or loaf, roll in the chopped pecans and chill

1/3 c braunschweiger
2 Tbsp pickle relish, sweet (drained)
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp worcestershire sauce

pecans, in pieces (enough to coat)
