MINTY PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE

There's more to smoothies than fruit - this green blend contains spinach, oats, linseeds and cashew nuts too

Minty pineapple smoothie image

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender with 200ml water and process until smooth. If it's too thick, add more water (up to 400ml) until you get the right mix.

200g pineapple , peeled, cored and cut into chunks
a few mint leaves
50g baby spinach leaves
25g oats
2 tbsp linseed
handful unsalted, unroasted cashew nuts
fresh lime juice , to taste

MANGO, MINT, AND PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE

This smoothie transports you to the tropics with the mango and pineapple. I usually make it in my Chicago kitchen on a rainy day when I need some bright flavors.

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients and 3 ice cubes in a blender and blend on high speed for about 60 seconds or until smooth.
  • Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy.

1/2 cup chopped mango
1/2 cup chopped pineapple
1/2 cup nonfat high-protein plain Greek yogurt or kefir
4 mint leaves, torn into pieces
