SMOKEHOUSE BEEF PATTIES

Smokehouse Beef Patties image

Steps:

  • Heat bread slices as directed on package.
  • Meanwhile, mix beef, bacon bits, yellow onions and barbecue sauce just until blended; shape into 6 (1/2-inch-thick) patties. Cook in skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium heat 4 to 5 min. on each side or until done (160ºF). About 5 min. before burgers are done, cook gravy in saucepan on medium-low heat until heated through, stirring occasionally.
  • Place 1 burger on each toast slice. Drizzle with gravy; sprinkle with green onions.

Use your hands and shape each into three-quarters to an inch thick patty, a little larger in diameter than your buns. Use your thumb and put a slight indention in the center of each patty to ensure it stays flat while cooking.
