Slow Cooker Potluck Spareribs image

Steps:

  • Put spareribs in the bottom of a slow cooker; top with ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, salt, mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Cook on High for 5 hours.

1 ½ cups ketchup
¾ cup packed brown sugar
½ cup vinegar
½ cup honey
⅓ cup soy sauce

½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Slow cooked pork spare ribs, or country style ribs, also great with boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

Slow Cooker Spare Ribs image

Steps:

  • Place ribs in a large stock pot, and cover with water. Bring to a boil, and cook for 15 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, mix together soup, onion, garlic, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Remove ribs from water, and transfer to a slow cooker. Pour sauce over ribs.
  • Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or until ribs are tender.
  • If sauce is too thin when cooking time is done, drain sauce from ribs, and pour into a sauce pan. Combine 1 teaspoon cornstarch with a small amount of cold water, stir into sauce, and bring sauce to boil. Cook until sauce has reached desired thickness.

Steps:

  • Mix sugar and flour into saucepan.
  • Add water, stir.
  • Add next 5 ingredients.
  • Heat and stir until it boils and thickens.
  • Pour over ribs in crock pot.
  • Cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4-5 hours.

1/2 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons soya sauce

I made this with my Zucchini, Pineapple, Ginger Jam #95600. BUT you can use store bought pineapple jam. These are so tender and tasty. My son couldn't wait for them to brown under the broiler so he ate them right out of the crock pot!

Spareribs Sweet and Tender (Crock Pot) image

Steps:

  • Rub ribs with salt, pepper dried garlic and ginger.
  • In a crock pot on low heat add rest of ingredients (except cornstarch) stir to blend.
  • Add seasoned ribs coat and place top on pot and cook for 6-8 hours on low heat.
  • Till the meat almost falls off the bones.
  • Remove ribs and place on a cookie sheet pan line with foil.
  • Brown ribs just a couple minutes each side under broiler.
  • Meanwhile mix cornstarch with a small amount of the sauce from the crock pot.
  • Skim fat if necessary.
  • Put into a microwave safe dish with rest of sauce with cornstarch mixture and heat in micro to thicken.
  • Pour over browned ribs or serve on the side.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro, sesame seeds, and or parsley.
