Onion Teriyaki Burgers image

Steps:

  • Preheat a grill for high heat.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, teriyaki marinade and French-fried onions.
  • Form the mixture into 4 patties
  • Lightly oil the grilling surface, and place patties on the preheated grill.
  • Grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until well done (or desired doneness).
  • Top with cheese, and serve on hamburger buns.

PINEAPPLE-TERIYAKI CHICKEN BURGERS

The tastiest chicken burgers you will ever have! These pineapple-teriyaki chicken burgers are so flavorful, so juicy, we literally couldn't get enough of them. I am absolutely crazy about burgers, they are probably one of my favorite foods (aside from pizza), and it's been really fun playing around with different flavors and textures.

Pineapple-Teriyaki Chicken Burgers image

Steps:

  • Mix ground chicken, bell pepper, pineapple, garlic, 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, green onion, salt, and ginger together in a bowl. Make 6 equally portioned balls out of the mixture.
  • Heat a large cast iron or ceramic nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add avocado oil to the hot skillet and heat for 3 minutes. Place 2 to 3 balls into the skillet and flatten out with a spatula; cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Remove from the skillet and repeat to cook remaining burgers.
  • Place burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, ketchup, and more teriyaki sauce if desired.

  • Place chicken breasts and teriyaki sauce in Ziploc bag, squeezing as much air as possible out. Place in fridge, flipping if you can half way, for at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours. After it is done marinating remove chicken from bag and throw away marinade.
  • Preheat the grill to medium high and lightly oil the grates. Grill the rings of pineapple and red onion slices until caramelized and tender, about 3 minutes per side for the pineapple and 4 minutes for the red onion. Remove ad cover with foil to keep warm.
  • Grill the chicken breasts for 4 minutes on the first side, flip, and grill 4 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 165 degrees F. During the last few minutes of cooking place a slice of cheese on top of each chicken breast.
  • While burgers are grilling butter inside of buns and place the buns, butter side down on grill. Grill until lightly toasted, remove from grill.
