Simple Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Wings Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Steps:

  • In a 5 quart slow cooker on low add buffalo sauce, butter and honey. Stir to combine. Add chicken wings. Stir until wings are well coated. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Remove wings from slow cooker and place on a baking sheet lined with foil. Drizzle sauce from slow cooker over wings. Set oven to broil. Place baking sheet in oven and bake for 2-3 minutes until the sauce starts to caramelize. Remove from oven, serve and enjoy. COOK'S NOTE: If you like a thick sauce coating, transfer the sauce to a saucepan and boil it until it cooks down, approximately 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then brush or drizzle the sauce over the wings. You can also layer the sauce on the wings. Coat wings with sauce, broil for 1 minute, remove from oven. Coat with sauce, broil 1 minute. Add more sauce, broil until sauce is caramelized.

Awesome Slow Cooker Buffalo Wings image

Steps:

  • Combine 1 bottle hot pepper sauce, 1/2 cup butter, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, onion powder, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Place chicken wings into slow cooker and pour sauce mixture over wings.
  • Cook on High for 2 hours. Reduce heat to Low; cook 2 hours more.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease several baking sheets.
  • Spread wings onto prepared baking sheets and bake in preheated oven until wings are crisp and browned, about 30 minutes.
  • Melt 1/2 cup butter with 1 bottle hot sauce in a small saucepan and simmer until thickened, about 20 minutes. Brush sauce onto wings just before serving.

Steps:

  • Cut off and discard wing tips. Cut each wing into 2 sections. Place chicken on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat about 10 minutes or until chicken is browned, turning once. Transfer chicken to a 3-1/2- or 4-quart crockery cooker. Combine chili sauce and hot pepper sauce; pour over chicken wings.
  • Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours or on high-heat setting or 2 to 21/2 hours. Serve chicken wings with Blue Cheese Dip or ranch salad dressing.
