Steps:
- Pour milk in a pan.
- Sprinkle apple spice onto milk.
- Break or chop chocolate into pieces and add to milk.
- Add enough sugar to sweeten to your taste.
- Heat mixture over low heat until milk just boiling stirring all the time.
- Place 1 cinnamon stick into each of 2 cups.
- Pour hot chocolate into cups.
- top with whipped cream.
- serve immediately.

The whole-stick cinnamon stirrers come in handy, as the old-fashioned chocolate mixture settles if not stirred before drinking. - In a small saucepan, mix cocoa and sugar; stir in water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. , Add cinnamon and cloves; stir in milk. Simmer 5 minutes (do not boil). Whisk in vanilla. Pour hot chocolate into mugs; top with whipped cream. Use cinnamon sticks for stirrers.

- In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and molasses. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. , Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks; cool. , For frosting, cream the confectioners' sugar, butter and zest in a large bowl. Gradually add lemon juice, beating until frosting achieves desired spreading consistency. Frost cookies.
