2 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into six patties. , Grill, covered, over medium heat 5-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. Serve on buns. Top with buffalo burger topping if desired.

Beth's Portobello Mushroom Burgers image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a cookie sheet with foil, and spray it with cooking spray. With a damp cloth, wipe the mushrooms making sure to get off any excess dirt. Trim the stem so the mushroom will sit even like a hamburger.
  • Wrap 2 pieces of turkey bacon around each mushroom, tucking the ends under the stem. Place the mushrooms on the cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove mushrooms from cookie sheet to paper towel to drain.
  • Spread 1 1/2 teaspoons of the horseradish sauce over each of the buns (adjust to your own taste). Place 1 piece of lettuce and 1 slice tomato onto each bun. Place one mushroom burger on each bun.

Steps:

  • Mix ingredients well. You may also choose to add some steak seasoning to taste to give it a little extra zip.
  • Shape into 5-6 patties.
  • Place into a preheated skillet, cook on medium heat 6 minutes on each side, or until juices run clear.
  • Sometimes you will need to add oil to the pan before preheating to keep the meat from sticking and burning.
  • Top with your choice of cheese and place on bun with toppings like tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, etc.

1 1/2-2 lbs lean ground beef
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
4 teaspoons steak sauce or 4 teaspoons barbecue sauce (I prefer steak sauce)
