Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Beat eggs and vanilla together in mixing bowl. Add in brown sugar, flour, baking soda, salt and walnuts. Mix until well blended.
- Melt the butter in a 9-inch square pan. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until firm to the touch.
- While bars are still hot, loosen with a spatula and turn out onto wax paper, buttered side up. Dust with confectioners' sugar while warm and cut into squares.

My mother used to make these at Christmas every year. After dusting them with powdered sugar she would pipe N-O-E-L in green icing on the tops of each one.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Melt the butter in a 7x11 inch baking dish, and tilt the pan to coat all of the sides; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the brown sugar, flour, and baking soda.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla until smooth, then stir in the walnuts. Pour over the melted butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown.
- Cool, then cut into squares, and dust with confectioners sugar.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Put margerine in a 9x13 metal cake pan and place in oven to melt margerine.
- While margerine is melting mix by hand the brown sugar and eggs until light khaki in color.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix 30 strokes.
- Pour batter into pan on top of he margerine being careful not to let margerine run over top of batter.
- Carefully spread out to within 1/2 " of sides of pan.
- Bake @ 325 for 25 minutes.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and almond extract. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. When the mixture is creamy, stir in chocolate chips, coconut and cherries. Drop the dough by teaspoonful onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.

- Combine sugar, flour, soda and nuts. Stir into beaten eggs and vanilla. Pour mixture over butter. Do not stir.
- Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until center is set. Turn out of pan onto rack. Cut into squares and dust bottom with confectioners' sugar.
